The past 2+ years you’ve always been there for me. We shared laughs together and you helped me get through my struggles. The past couple months you were treated horribly and you definitely didn’t deserve it. I hated how you were being treated and I couldn’t really do anything about it since you’re so stubborn. Sometimes. I hate how you’re too caring and you based your decision to make other people happy, but i guess that’s who you are and you wouldn’t be the person you are without those qualities. I’m happy that you were able to stand up for yourself and finally made a decision that would help you. I know that was hard decision, but you had to do what was best for you. I hate seeing you down. I hate it when i know you could do so much better, and i can’t do anything about it. I’m glad that i was able to kidnap you for almost a whole weekend after all that has happened, and gave you a chance to let loose and have fun for once. Even though there were some consequences at the end of night, the night was fun and i’m glad that i was able to see you finally smile. Things happen for a reason and remember that i’m always here for you no matter what. I hope you’re reading this or else this posts is pretty much pointless.

My Meaning

I know for a fact that you and others think the reason why I want to get that imprinted on my arm is just for the looks. Sorry but you’re wrong. I’ll admit it at first I wanted it just cause it looked cool, but time passed by and learned why I want to get it imprinted on my body. “Pamilya Muna” or in English “Family First”. To everyone in our family who has it or is going to get it, it means that no matter what happens in life that family comes first. Friends come and go as we live and the only thing we have in our life is our family. Moreover, half of the people that have it say that you should get it when you accomplish something significant or at least have done something meaningful in your life. I would have to disagree with all of you and I know my reasons why I want or legitimate and I shouldn’t even need to have your permission. If you had to ask me what pamilya muna means I can give you several different answers. One of them would definitely be what I mentioned above. Every time I would look at my right arm it would remind me of my family. It would remind me of how close we are, how different we are from other families, how we help each other in time of need, and how hard pays off. I would admit that I’m not as smart or have the work ethic as most people in our family, but the two meaningful words would be used as motivation. Motivation to work harder to reach my life goals, motivation to provide a better life for my potential wife and kids, and motivation to do just better. It would also remind me of all the motivation talks my dad has given me and all the stories he has told us about how he worked really hard to provide a better life for his family. Getting a fantastic artwork drawn on me isn’t just for motivation to work hard, but it’s there for me to remind myself that I have family with me. No matter what’s going on with my life, bad or good, I always have my family there. There are times where I won’t get to see my family for long periods of time due to PCN practices, FASA retreats, or SCPASA events, but no matter where I am or what I’m doing I always have my family there to help me out no matter what. I always have a piece of my family on me and if I ever needed to hear a voice I know one of you are just one call away. I understand that my parents oppose to having me getting this and I know their reactions and possible consequences, but they don’t know my true meaning. My parents think getting tattoos are just for looks and they think they’re ugly, and I would have to agree partially with them on the looks part. But when I tell them my meaning and reasoning behind my plan they’ll at least partially understand why I got it. So this was my meaning of “Pamilya Muna”
